Race and Gender  The Story of a Primary Season in Hell      (as told by the cable tv pundits who created it) 

 He had a speech, but did he have the guts to deliver it?

 She had  a conversation, but would the patriarchy let her hold it?    

   Gene Shalit: ” A political ‘North and South’ for a post-modern era.”          Chris Matthews : ”Canasta!  Full House!  Great White Shark!”   Starring Gloria Swanson and Will Smith   All  HRT Denton had was her philandering ex-president husband, Big Buck Denton,  once the most popular U.S. president of the 90’s.  All Barry O’Sauna had was a handful of historical speeches and a membership in a  church where they used the Wh—ty word.By the end of the primary season they would both have A REASON TO LIVE.         Until O’Sauna, a handsome man of mixed racial and cutural background, emerged from the pack, HRT was the most electable democrat in the country.  But when silver-tongued O’Sauna started speaking, HRT knew she and her hordes of scorned white women would have to fight—not just for votes, but for an end to being called “sweetie.”            For O’Sauna—this race would test not only his gag-reflex, but his loyalties.  The one question he would ask himself over and over again was, “Who do I kick under the bus next?”     Meanwhile their party would stand around and suck its thumbs. Tongue out
